International Civil Rights Center & Museum

The Sit-In Movement began at the F.W. Woolworth's store on Feb. 1, 1960, when four N.C. A&T students — David Richmond, Franklin McCain, Ezell Blair Jr. (now Jibreel Khazan), and Joseph McNeil — were refused service at the whites-only lunch Counter.

Early Bird Special thru May 22!

Join North Carolina's best golfers as we celebrate the legacy of the "Greensboro Six" who challenged the legality of the city-run, segregated Gillespie Golf Course. Once arrested for trespassing, the men's charges were dropped after review by both the North Carolina and United States Supreme Courts. A concurrent and separate case would hold that the racial exclusion at the golf course was unconstitutional. This special event is meant to mark a strengthening of the United States' promises of full and equal citizenship under the 14th Amendment.

Individual tickets are available, as well as team sponsorships and hole sponsorships!

Prizes and specials include the $10k "Hole-in-One," Longest Drive Prize, Closest to Pin Prize, 1st-3rd Place Prizes, and the Mulligan Special!
